International Supply Chain Expo Holds Third Installment in Beijing Capital City
The 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) took place in Beijing on July 16, 2025, with a strong emphasis on innovation and collaboration. The event was marked by the launch of the Beijing Initiative, a collaborative call by global supply chain stakeholders to strengthen and innovate supply chains through multilateral engagement, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology.
The Beijing Initiative was jointly launched at the opening ceremony by members of the international community and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). It aims to uphold multilateralism, support the World Trade Organization-based trading framework, and foster an open and cooperative international environment.
Key points of the Beijing Initiative include removing barriers to trade and investment, building green and sustainable supply chains, encouraging innovation with emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), advocating for the digital transformation of supply chains, and strengthening global business collaboration.
The initiative was supported by over 1,100 representatives from more than 100 countries, regions, and international organizations. Key participants included the CCPIT, multinational corporations such as Nvidia, Schneider Electric, L’Oreal, Louis Dreyfus, and Medtronic, international organizations like the International Chamber of Commerce, and high-level business leaders like Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia.
