#### Tech Blunders Galore: Google Cloud, Cloudflare, Spotify, and More Go Down

Intensive technical troubles hit numerous online platforms during widespread internet disruption.

Time to dust off your internet troubleshooting skills, folks! June 12, 2025, saw a series of tech snafus involving Google Cloud, Cloudflare, Spotify, and several other platforms that left users scratching their heads and hurrying to find alternative solutions.

To start things off, Cloudflare, a bombshell in the realm of net infrastructures, announced experiencing "a number of services suffer intermittent failures." The tech titan noted in a 2:46 p.m. EDT update that these minor meltdowns were under investigation. Fast-forwarding a bit, at 3:12 p.m. EDT, they hinted at the wheels turning back on, with "intermittent errors" still expected. Digging a tad deeper, Cloudflare admitted that the hiccups they faced were a direct consequence of a Google Cloud outage. Some of their offerings, which utilize Google Cloud, were affected, but the company expected a solution swiftly.

Speaking of Google Cloud, they confessed to some issues with several of their globetrotting cloud products, declaring to the world at 3:41 p.m. EDT that their hardware supremos had pinpointed the root cause, although curious users were left in the dark about a potential recovery time.

Sifting through reports made on Downdetector, one could see outage complaints about Amazon Web Services (AWS) piling up to almost 6,000 at 2:49 p.m. EDT, but falling to a more manageable 1,400 by 3:53 p.m. Strangely, AWS claimed its status page showed no recent snags. Upon being called out, they asserted that reports claiming AWS is down were way off base—their services were operating swimmingly, though they didn't shed light on the reasons behind the rackets of complaints.

Joining the party of pipedreams was a slew of other websites and platforms such as Spotify, Discord, Snapchat, YouTube, Gmail, Google Meet, and Etsy. These digital domains saw a spike in reported bumps at around midday, but by 3:55 p.m. EDT, things had settled down considerably.

Social media heavyweights X, Facebook, and Instagram seemed to evade the chaos, with just a handful of complaints trickling in on Downdetector.

Stay tuned for further updates as we navigate this digital maze.

Users grappled with intermittent service disruptions on various platforms, such as Google Cloud and Cloudflare, on June 12, 2025. The glitches were later revealed to be a direct result of Google Cloud's tech issues, causing some of Cloudflare's services to falter.
