Industrial development in Kaarst at the former IKEA location
In a significant move for the city of Kaarst, AES Motomation, a leading tech company specializing in the production of robot systems for manufacturing computer chips, has chosen to relocate its headquarters from Meerbusch to Kaarst.
Mayor Ursula Baum expressed her delight, stating that AES Motomation fits exactly into Kaarst's requirement profile for attracting high-quality companies. The move corresponds to the city's strategy to attract such companies, and it is a testament to Kaarst's growing appeal as a hub for tech businesses.
The new AES Motomation headquarters, designed by the architecture firm ZRS Architekten, stands on an approximately 2,500 square meter plot. The building includes an office building and a rear laboratory area with clean room, airlocks, and ancillary areas, providing the ideal environment for the company's operations.
Paul Waltner, CEO and founder of AES Motomation, found the best overall package for the new headquarters in Kaarst. He praised the city's administration for their understanding of entrepreneurs' needs and appreciated the city's support and collaboration during the process of finding a new headquarters.
Waltner also commended Kaarst's economic promotion, with whom AES Motomation has worked very well, and expressed gratitude towards the building administration for being open to their ideas.
AES Motomation has a rich history, having been founded 25 years ago in Germany. It has been present in the USA for 20 years and has been represented in Taiwan for five years, demonstrating its global footprint. The city of Kaarst was a key factor in AES Motomation's decision to move its headquarters, highlighting the city's growing influence in the tech industry.
This move is a significant milestone for both AES Motomation and the city of Kaarst, marking a new chapter in the city's efforts to attract high-quality companies and solidifying its position as a hub for tech businesses.
