Hyundai's 2027 Santa Fe Gets Radical Makeover, New Transmission
Hyundai is giving its popular Santa Fe SUV a major makeover. The 2027 model will undergo a radical mid-cycle design update, set to debut late next year or early 2027. The changes aim to broaden its appeal and attract customers who prefer sleeker designs.
The facelifted Santa Fe will sport Hyundai's latest 'Art of Steel' design language. Key changes include a revamped front fascia, refined grille, sleeker body sides, and a revised rear with vertical taillights and a relocated license plate. These updates will give the Santa Fe a less boxy, more aerodynamic stance, enhancing its premium SUV appearance.
Under the hood, all 2.5-liter turbo Santa Fe models will bid farewell to the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Instead, they'll adopt a torque-converter automatic transmission. This change will also apply to the Hyundai Santa Cruz, which shares the same drivetrain.
The 2027 Hyundai Santa Fe Facelift, developed and designed in-house by Hyundai, promises a fresh, sleek look and improved driving dynamics. The transmission upgrade and design changes are expected to make the Santa Fe more appealing to a wider range of customers.
