Hyundai Launches New Tucson Plug-in Hybrid: Power, Efficiency, and Luxury Combined
Hyundai has launched the new Tucson Plug-in Hybrid, a vehicle that combines power and efficiency. The PHEV version starts at £39,330 for the Premium trim, offering a range of impressive features.
The Tucson PHEV is powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine and a 90bhp electric motor, generating a combined 261bhp. It comes with a 13.8 kWh battery, providing over 30 miles of electric range. The Premium trim includes 18-inch alloys, LED lights, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and digital instruments. The top Ultimate trim, priced at £42,030, adds 19-inch alloys, leather seats, a panoramic roof, and a smart tailgate. It also offers an optional Tech Pack for £1,500, featuring electronically controlled suspension and advanced safety features.
Hyundai UK Managing Director, Ashley Andrew, anticipates strong demand for the Tucson Plug-in Hybrid, especially in fleet markets. He cites its specifications and low Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) emissions as key attractions. Both Premium and Ultimate trims come with 4WD and Terrain Mode, ensuring capability across various terrains. Notably, the Tucson Plug-in Hybrid is £5,000 more expensive than its regular counterpart.

With its competitive pricing and low BIK emissions, it is expected to be popular among fleet customers.
