Deutsche Telekom Boosts Internet Speeds in Helmstadt and Lichtenstein
Deutsche Telekom AG has announced the expansion of its network in two German cities, bringing faster internet speeds to thousands of households.
In Helmstadt's Helmstadt district, 1,060 additional households can now access the internet at a speed of 250 Mbit/s. This is a significant improvement from the previous speed, as the upload speed has increased from 10 Mbit/s to 40 Mbit/s. The new download and upload speeds can be achieved by booking services at www.telekom.de/faster.
Deutsche Telekom has installed new system technology in five grey boxes along the roadside in Helmstadt's Helmstadt district to facilitate this network expansion.
Similarly, the city of Lichtenstein in Germany received an improved broadband connection from Deutsche Telekom AG in mid-September 2025. This upgrade benefits 1,500 households in the location, enabling them to enjoy a maximum download speed of 250 Mbit/s.
With this new speed, customers can now use a superfast connection for digital learning, working, streaming, and gaming simultaneously.
