Home Depot & Rebuilding Together Transform Cora Kelly School

Home Depot employees and Rebuilding Together DC - Alexandria have joined forces to renovate and upgrade the Cora Kelly School for Math, Science and Technology in Alexandria, VA. The project, which took place in April, saw volunteers from The Home Depot lending their skills to improve the school's facilities.

Founded in 1986, Rebuilding Together DC - Alexandria has been providing repair services and materials to homeowners in need across Alexandria and D.C. for over three decades. The organization's efforts, valued at over $350,000, include year-round projects with a significant number of initiatives taking place on National Rebuilding Day in April.

The Cora Kelly School's upgrades, carried out in collaboration with The Home Depot, included a range of tasks. Volunteers painted walls, tackled minor construction projects, and transformed the school's library. They also assembled new furniture, ensuring the school was not only functional but also welcoming for students and staff.

The renovations at Cora Kelly School were made possible through the combined efforts of Rebuilding Together DC - Alexandria and The Home Depot. The upgrades, which included painting, construction, library renovation, and furniture assembly, have significantly improved the school's environment. Both organizations continue to support their communities through similar initiatives year-round.
