Highly dynamic Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo models offer an exciting possibility

The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Opel, the iconic German brand, unveils two electrifying new models under its sporty sub-brand, GSE. The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo and the Mokka GSE are set to redefine performance and electric vehicle (EV) technology.

The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, a high-performance electric hot hatch concept, is primarily designed for digital racing simulations like Gran Turismo 7. This concept car, showcased at IAA Mobility 2025, boasts an impressive system output of 588 kW (800 PS) and 800 Newton meters of torque, propelling it from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).

The vehicle's lightweight construction, weighing only 1,170 kilograms, is achieved through the use of particularly lightweight materials. Its cockpit features a slim steering wheel with a head-up display, no additional screens, and lightweight sports seat with a six-point harness and roll cage. Aerodynamic solutions such as an active rear wing, diffuser, aero bonnet, and side skirts enhance handling at high speeds.

On the other hand, the 2026 Opel Mokka GSE is a new production electric vehicle that draws heavily from electric rally technology. With a power output of 207 kW (280 hp) and 345 Nm (254 lb-ft) of torque, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph). The Mokka GSE is lighter than 1.6 tons (~3,527 lbs), thanks to its optimized chassis with special axles and double hydraulic dampers derived from rally experience.

The Mokka GSE offers drive modes including Sport, Normal, Eco, adjusting steering, throttle, and efficiency for different driving needs. It is the fastest production electric Opel so far, blending rally-inspired performance with everyday usability.

GSE, which stands for "Grand Sport Electric," is set to become more emotional with future generations. The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo will make its world premiere at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich this September, offering a glimpse into the future of high-performance GSE models. Opel promises future GSE customers a high-performance, fully electric compact car that embodies the GSE sub-brand.

Aero-Curtains on the front and rear wings, black Aero-wing extensions, and special Aero-wheels are used in both models to reduce air turbulence, further enhancing their performance capabilities. These exciting new additions to Opel's lineup promise to deliver spirited driving and advanced EV technology to customers who value both performance and sustainability.
