GWM Tank brand reveals revised Tank 500 model

The personalized brand Tank from Great Wall Motor has revealed the updated Tank 500, set to hit pre-sales next month and launch later this quarter. The SUV (sport utility vehicle) maintains its muscular and iconic design while incorporating several new advancements.

One of the most significant additions is the Hesai ATX LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof. This sensor works in harmony with GWM's third-generation advanced driver-assistance system, Coffee Pilot Ultra. The system enables high-speed and urban Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), significantly enhancing the vehicle's autonomous driving capabilities.

The 2025 facelift of the Tank 500 retains its previous dimensions, measuring 5,078 mm in length, 1,934 mm in width, and 1,905 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. The approach and departure angles are 29° and 24° respectively, and the ground clearance is 210 mm, ensuring strong off-road capability.

The interior of the updated Tank 500 boasts smart comfort features such as Nappa leather seats with ventilation and heating, a reclining rear seat backrest adjustable between 25° and 35°, a 17.3-inch 3K ceiling entertainment screen, and a 50 W refrigerator in the center console.

Powertrain options include two plug-in hybrid setups under the Hi4-T and Hi4-Z trims. Both feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with a lithium battery, offering strong performance and hybrid efficiency for off-road and urban driving scenarios.
