Formnext 2025: A Global Gathering of Additive Manufacturing Innovations

Get ready for the world's leading additive manufacturing (AM) trade fair, Formnext, taking place in Frankfurt from November 18-21, 2025. Organized by Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, this year's event promises to be a hub of innovation, expertise, and networking opportunities.

Christoph Stüker, Vice President for Formnext, emphasizes the event's potential-transforming capabilities, stating, "Formnext provides the technologies, expertise, and contacts to turn potential into reality."

The event kicks off with the AM Innovation and Standards Summit, organized by ASTM International on November 17, underscoring Formnext's role as a global innovation hub driving the industrialization of additive manufacturing.

Public voting for the Formnext Awards begins in October, with winners announced on November 20, 2025. These awards recognize breakthroughs in sustainability, technology, and entrepreneurship across six categories.

Spain is the Partner Country for Formnext 2025, with around 30 Spanish exhibitors expected to showcase their innovations. Spain's AM sector is fast-growing and the country has strong expertise in systems, materials, and research.

More than 800 exhibitors from around the globe will participate in Formnext 2025, providing a unique platform for networking and business opportunities.

The event will feature presentations on three stages: Industry Stage, Application Stage, and Technology Stage. These stages will host a variety of talks, panels, and demonstrations, covering topics from large-format plastic 3D printing to Directed Energy Deposition (DED), data-driven design, and scaling AM production.

For those new to additive manufacturing, daily Discover3DPrinting seminars will introduce the technology, making it accessible for all.

In addition, AM Jobs@Formnext will provide a unique career platform, including a job wall, career counseling, and professional photo sessions on November 20.

Pitching sessions at the Pitchnext event on November 18 will give start-ups the chance to connect with investors and partners. The Start-up Area and Young Innovators booth will provide a platform for young companies to showcase their innovations.

Specialized showcases will highlight applications in mechanical engineering (VDMA) and construction (BE-AM). The BE-AM Symposium on November 19 will explore the future of 3D printing in the built environment.

Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President for Formnext, states, "Additive manufacturing can make a decisive difference in today's competitive landscape."
