German Renewables Awards 2022: Hydrogen, Innovation, and Lifetime Achievement Honoured
The German Renewables Awards, hosted by Renewable Energies Hamburg (EEHH), were presented on 25th August 2022. The event recognised outstanding achievements in the renewable energy sector, with winners announced in six categories.
In the 'Hydrogen Innovation of the Year' category, Turneo GmbH's project for emission-free heavy-duty seagoing mobility using hydrogen took the top spot. Meanwhile, Patrick Kloss's digital twin for a solid-state hydrogen storage system was honoured with 'Student Work of the Year'. Schaeffler AG's split rotor bearing for wind turbine nacelle exchange won 'Product Innovation of the Year'.
Yves Bellinghausen's report 'Look at this town' earned her the Media Award. Prof. Dr. Daniela Jacob received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her significant contributions to regional climate change adaptation research.
The German Renewables Awards recognised innovative projects, products, and individuals in the renewable energy sector. Turneo GmbH, Patrick Kloss, Schaeffler AG, Yves Bellinghausen, and Prof. Dr. Daniela Jacob were among the recipients, highlighting the diverse range of achievements in the field.
