Fox 13 Seattle Amplifies Local and Regional News Broadcasts
Cracking Open the Local News Scene in Seattle
Fox 13 and Fox 13+, two major stations owned by Fox Television Stations, are about to shake up the local news landscape in Seattle. Beginning June 16, these stations will significantly boost their news programming, offering more live local news updates on streaming platforms.
In response, Fox 13 is pouring resources into digital platforms, serving up an extra 31 hours of live-streamed news content per week on its Fox Local Seattle streaming platform. Viewers can look forward to live, anchored updates throughout the day, ensuring that local news is easily accessible anytime, anywhere.
Starting later this summer, "Good Day Seattle" will extend its run from the usual 5-hour slot to a full 6 hours, catering to both early birds and late sleepers.
The expanded programming aims to bring viewers more of the trusted information they need, whenever and wherever they choose to tune in. Amber Eikel, senior vice president and general manager of KCPQ-KZJO, shared her thoughts, stating, "By amplifying our local programming and boosting our streaming presence, we're making it easier for viewers to stay informed."

On Fox 13 (KCPQ):
- 4 and 5 p.m.: Seattle News Tonight - A news show focusing on local stories with in-depth coverage, live interviews, and more.
- 6 p.m.: Washington News Wrap - A roundup of state headlines and regional developments.
- 6:30 p.m.: Washington Sports Wrap - The day's top sports stories from across the state.
- 7 p.m.: West Coast News Wrap - Coverage and commentary on major stories along the coast.
- 10 p.m.: Seattle News Tonight
On Fox 13+ (KZJO):
- 8 and 9 p.m.: Seattle News Tonight
