Elon Musk Rededicates Focus to Business Ventures Following X Outage

In a renewed bid to prioritize his business ventures, Elon Musk has announced a commitment to work intensely on Tesla, his electric car company, and X, the recently acquired social media platform, formerly known as Twitter. The decision comes after criticism over Musk's extensive obligations, including his political involvement.

On May 24, X experienced a two-hour outage, affecting users worldwide, highlighting the need for operational improvements on the platform. In response, Musk pledged to spend "24/7" at work, sleeping in conference rooms, server rooms, or factories to ensure his full commitment.

This recent focus shift comes as Musk's ambitions to cut U.S. federal spending through his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) did not meet their intended goals, despite tens of thousands of job cuts and drastic budget reductions, as acknowledged early this month.

Musk's plans for the future involve reducing his involvement in the DOGE to about one day per week, with his primary focus on X, xAI, and Tesla, especially in light of the upcoming Starship launch. The mega-rocket Starship, still under development, is slated for a new launch attempt next week, following two previous explosions in flight.

Elon Musk decided to devote most of his energy to his business undertakings, such as Tesla and X, given the recent operational issues on X and the challenges faced in meeting his goals with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). In the near future, he plans to invest significant time in space-and-astronomy related ventures, particularly the development of the Starship mega-rocket, which is scheduled for another launch attempt next week.

Following the outage on X, Elon Musk recognized the need for advancements in technology and business management to guarantee operational improvements on the platform and prevent similar incidents in the future.
