FAAS Launches Sustainability Day in Bologna: Green Innovations in Automotive Aftermarket

The Forum on Automotive Aftermarket Sustainability (FAAS) is set to host its inaugural Sustainability Day during the Futurmotive - Expo & Talks exhibition in Bologna. Scheduled for November 17th, the event aims to bring together leaders and innovators in the automotive aftermarket ecosystem to discuss and explore green innovations.

The FAAS Sustainability Day will feature four sessions focused on emissions reduction, green services, and sustainable logistics. These sessions will guide participants towards a greener aftermarket ecosystem. The event is being hosted at the Bologna Exhibition Centre, chosen for its international relevance in the mobility sector. Renzo Servadei, CEO of Autopromotec, expressed his honour in hosting the event, sharing a common perspective on the industry's future.

The FAAS initiative has already attracted 28 prominent companies, all committed to developing synergies and activities for the sustainable transition of the European aftermarket sector. The event is a project initiated by leading European Associations, including the European Association of Automotive Suppliers and FIGIEFA (European Association of Automotive Parts Distributors). Sylvia Gotzen, Chief Executive of FIGIEFA, sees the first FAAS Sustainability Day as an opportunity to expand on driving topics and establish long-lasting connections for the industry's future. Emanuele Vicentini, in charge of International Developments for Autopromotec, highlighted the relevance of sustainability in the automotive aftermarket sector and the international networking opportunities the event offers. Frank Schlehuber, Senior Consultant Market Affairs, noted that the FAAS is approaching an important milestone towards becoming a Non-Profit International Association for sustainable business practices.

The FAAS Sustainability Day, taking place during Futurmotive - Expo & Talks from November 16-18, is set to be a significant event for the automotive aftermarket sector. With prominent companies and industry leaders in attendance, the event promises to foster knowledge sharing and explore green innovations, ultimately driving the industry towards a more sustainable future.
