In North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), a collaborative platform called the Future Network Mobility NRW has been established by the NRW Ministry of Transport, with the aim of promoting sustainable mobility through networking and cooperation. The member cities of this initiative include Neuss, alongside Dortmund, Duisburg, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Oberhausen, Bottrop, Dormagen, Rommerskirchen, Meerbusch, Korschenbroich, the district of Viersen, Mönchengladbach, Krefeld, and Cologne.

Rhein-Kreis Neuss, specifically, has appointed Samira Smentkowski as the contact person and coordinator for the Future Network Mobility NRW. You can reach her at 02181 601-6115 or [email protected].

The Future Network Mobility NRW has several key objectives. These include promoting sustainable and climate-neutral mobility concepts and infrastructure, facilitating cooperation among member cities to scale effective mobility solutions, encouraging digitalization and innovation in public transport and mobility services, reducing traffic-related emissions and improving urban air quality, and enhancing accessibility and interconnectivity within the metropolitan area for citizens.

In Neuss, the newsletter offered by Rhein-Kreis Neuss is a valuable source of detailed information about social developments, culinary arts, art, and culture in the city. Subscribing to this newsletter is free and does not involve any advertisements. It serves as a means to stay updated on various aspects of Neuss, including social, cultural, and artistic events.

Rhein-Kreis Neuss's participation in the Future Network Mobility NRW is aimed at qualifying and networking employees and driving essential changes in mobility. The city also plans to hold an internal workshop on sustainable mobility development together with the coordinating office and the responsible departments of the district administration, with funding from the promotion pot likely to be available.

Subscribers can confirm their subscription by checking their inbox or spam folder. The newsletter does not send spam, as stated in the privacy policy, which is available for review. The current state of mobility can be seen at airports, on the railways, and on roads, where charging stations for e-mobility are lacking, making the efforts of the Future Network Mobility NRW even more crucial.
