Jana Moritz, an accomplished professional with a doctoral degree in Future Sustainable Food Systems, has taken on the role of Public Affairs Manager.
This new position, a fresh addition to the department, sees Moritz working closely with Leif Balz, Head of Agriculture & Nutrition at the Schwarz Group. Moritz's responsibilities are expected to revolve around managing relationships and communication with public stakeholders, representing the company's interests in agricultural and nutrition policy, and monitoring regulatory developments.
Moritz's role also involves coordinating with internal departments to align public affairs strategy and supporting initiatives that promote sustainable agriculture and nutrition goals. Achievements in such roles often revolve around influencing policy decisions that benefit sustainable agriculture, building strong stakeholder networks, and successfully launching or supporting advocacy campaigns.
Prior to her role at the Schwarz Group, Moritz worked as an advisor for Digital Farming & Food Tech at Bitkom. Her doctoral research was conducted at Helsinki University in the field of Future Sustainable Food Systems. Moritz started her role at the Schwarz Group on January 1, 2025.
With Moritz's expertise in sustainable food systems and her experience in digital farming and food tech, the Schwarz Group is poised to make significant strides in promoting sustainable agriculture and nutrition policies. Moritz reports directly to Stefan Giffeler, Head of the Berlin Representation Office of the Schwarz Group.
