New Additions to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: Extreme G and Iggy's Reckin' Balls
The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack has expanded its library of retro games, now including two classic Nintendo 64 titles: Extreme G and Iggy's Reckin' Balls.
Extreme G takes players on a high-speed racing adventure, featuring G-bikes and futuristic weapon systems. Originally released in 1997, the game offers three-lap races in a high-tech racing environment. Players can use Nitro to boost their speed up to three times per race and pick up powerful items for a competitive advantage.
On the other hand, Iggy's Reckin' Balls is a unique racing game where players control spiked balls tethered to a character, rolling through obstacle-filled tracks to knock opponents off or complete objectives. The game, released in 1998, requires players to use their grappling skills and combine them with power-ups and gadgets available in the tower. Players must contend with other racers and the people of Cho-Dama who call forth hazards to hinder the racing ways of Iggy's gang.
Both games offer multiplayer modes, adding a competitive edge to the gameplay.
In addition to these new additions, the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership plan includes all the benefits of a regular Nintendo Switch Online membership. This means that members can access special offers, online play, and more. To enjoy these games, players will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and a Nintendo Account.
The Switch version of these games maintains the original gameplay mechanics, but also includes features like a suspend menu, which allows players to create restore points and rewind gameplay, making these retro titles more accessible to modern players.
With the addition of Extreme G and Iggy's Reckin' Balls, the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack offers an even more diverse range of games, from high-speed futuristic racing (Extreme G) to physics-based competitive ball combat (Iggy's Reckin' Balls).
