Adventure awaits you at the feet of Rocket Lab's Electron - a 18-meter tall and 1.2-meter wide towering wonder of engineering miracles. Beck led Rocket Lab to accomplish its first and greatest goal of constructing and launching a rocket into space in 2009.

In the fast-paced world of Silicon Valley, Rocket Lab secured backing from a venture capitalist in 2013 and relocated its headquarters to Los Angeles. However, the heart of Rocket Lab, its research and development, remains right where it started - near Auckland Airport, in New Zealand. Rocket Lab also boasts its own rocket launch site, nestled on the Mahia Peninsula on the East Coast of New Zealand.

Peter watched history unfold in 2017 as Rocket Lab launched its Electron rocket into space from the world's first private orbital launch site in New Zealand, proudly triumphing over technological and geographical limitations.

The Early Days

Flashback to the Days of Yore

Before setting off on this cosmic odyssey, Peter's career was already red-hot, having worked with Industrial Research Ltd, a Crown research institute. He played a crucial role in developing high-temperature superconductor manufacture.

Now, Beck is New Zealand's foremost rocket technology expert, maintaining an uber-hands-on approach with all areas of the company's rocket propulsion research, testing, and manufacturing. With an engineer's eye for challenge and a can-do attitude, he is confident about Rocket Lab's future success.
