Enphase Unveils Game-Changing 3-Phase Microinverter for Commercial Solar
Enphase Energy has unveiled the IQ9N-3P, a groundbreaking three-phase microinverter designed for commercial-scale solar projects. The device, set to hit the market in December 2025, is powered by gallium nitride technology and opens up the vast 480 V commercial market segment.
The IQ9N-3P offers unmatched flexibility, allowing it to be deployed in small commercial systems under 100 kW or larger systems with 'hundreds of kW', without the need for system redesign. It boasts a 25-year limited warranty and features a continuous DC current management of 16 amperes, delivering up to 427 VA of peak output power, supporting solar panels up to 600 W.
The microinverter's all-AC architecture ensures safety by avoiding long high-voltage DC runs on the roof. It complies with UL 1741-SB and IEEE 1547-2018 grid standards and includes rapid shutdown, phase balancing, and grid safety features. Notably, the IQ9N-3P will be manufactured in U.S. facilities, making it compliant with Buy America Act and Build America, Buy America Act rules, suitable for federal infrastructure projects post-2025.
Enphase Energy's IQ9N-3P, with its innovative gallium nitride technology and robust features, is set to revolutionize the commercial solar market. Its U.S. manufacturing compliance ensures it caters to federal infrastructure projects, further solidifying Enphase's commitment to the domestic market.
