Emovis to Revolutionize Santiago's Autopista Central with Advanced Tolling System
Emovis, a leading provider of free-flow tolling systems, has signed a contract with ViasChile to implement its Operational Back Office (OBO) solution on Autopista Central, Santiago's largest urban highway. The 18-month project management process, starting in July 2024, is part of ViasChile's Operational Domain Design Project.
Emovis brings a decade of experience to the table, having successfully implemented OBOs for clients like Metropistas in Puerto Rico, A25 in Canada, and the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority. The company's Emovis Qualify system ensures 100% management of transactions sent by roadside systems using robots and algorithms, making it highly scalable and adaptable to any type of roadside definition.
The OBO solution is designed to handle high data volumes with minimal manual intervention, as stated by Emovis CEO of abertis mobility services, Christian Barrientos. ViasChile will receive full support from Emovis throughout the implementation process, from defining business rules to integration with third-party systems. This support is provided by a dedicated implementation team or external consultants.
The implementation of Emovis' OBO is expected to significantly improve electronic transaction processing and data quality in toll gantries on Autopista Central. The 18-month project management, which began in May 2024, is a key part of ViasChile's Operational Domain Design Project.
