Embraer Enjoying a Positive Start to the New Year

In the first quarter of 2025, Brazilian aerospace company Embraer achieved a significant milestone, reaching a record high order backlog of $26.4 billion. This impressive figure surpasses the previous records set by the company.

Despite facing ongoing supply chain challenges, Embraer managed to deliver 30 aircraft in the first quarter of 2025, five more than in the same period last year. The business segment of the company delivered seven new aircraft, representing nine percent of the company's annual forecast average.

The order backlog for Embraer's commercial aircraft division was not without its challenges, with two aircraft deliveries being delayed. However, the company expects to see more tangible results from its production adjustments from the second quarter of 2025 and into next year.

In the commercial aviation sector, the order backlog for Embraer's E-Jet passenger aircraft was $10.0 billion in the first quarter of 2025, a slight decrease of two percent from the last quarter of 2024. Notably, ANA Holdings Inc. placed an order for 15 E190-E2 aircraft with options for five more E2 jets in the first quarter of 2025, although the identity of the airline that ordered 15 E190-E2 aircraft without specifying options remains undisclosed.

The order backlog for E-Jet passenger aircraft was not the only sector seeing growth. The order backlog for business aviation was $7.6 billion, and for defense, it was $4.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025.

Embraer plans to deliver up to 240 commercial and business jets in 2025, a testament to the company's commitment to growth and innovation in the aviation industry.

The E175 and E195-E2 models were delivered by Embraer in the first quarter of 2025 to American Airlines, Republic Airlines, Horizon Air, Porter, Aercap, and Azorra, further expanding the company's global footprint.

As Embraer continues to navigate supply chain challenges and push towards its 2025 delivery goals, the company remains a key player in the global aviation market.
