Elon Musk found once more reclining in meeting rooms and industrial facilities.

Elon Musk, the entrepreneur behind several tech and automotive companies, has announced a renewed focus on his businesses following recent service disruptions, particularly a two-hour outage at X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
In a statement, Musk noted that the issues faced by X this week underscored the need for substantial operational improvements. With a schedule that includes managing X, the AI developer xAI with the chatbot Grok, electric car company Tesla, and space company SpaceX, Musk revealed he has returned to working around the clock, seven days a week, and sleeping in conference rooms, server rooms, and factory sites.
In January, Musk took on a role within the Donald Trump-led government department for state efficiency (Doge), pushing for cost and personnel cuts in the US government apparatus. However, Musk recently announced that he would scale back this endeavor, focusing attention on X and Tesla.
During the outage at X, which occurred around 3 PM CEST, the platform was restored to normal operations by 5 PM. SpaceX, in a separate announcement, revealed plans for the launch of its new giant rocket Starship into space next week, following two previous test flights that ended in rocket top-stage explosions.
While the exact nature of the issues faced by X during the outage remains unclear, reports suggest that deeper infrastructure problems were exposed, possibly compounded by a fire at one of X's data centers in Oregon. It is believed that this incident may have contributed to the platform's instability during the outage.
In addressing these issues, Musk's primary concerns lie in revamping failover and redundancy infrastructure, addressing data center reliability and safety, and implementing more robust management and oversight to ensure resilient performance and prevent future service interruptions.
