Value Electronics is set to host its annual TV Shootout Evaluation event on July 26, 2025, in Scarsdale, NY. This much-anticipated event brings together top TVs from leading brands such as Sony, LG, and Samsung for a comparative evaluation of picture quality and performance.

This year, the premium OLED category will feature some of the most highly anticipated TV models. Among them is the Sony Bravia 8 II, a flagship OLED TV by Sony that boasts a QD-OLED panel, which is 50% brighter than the previous W-OLED panel used in the Bravia 8. The Bravia 8 II also incorporates Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, turning the screen into a speaker for immersive sound.

LG's offerings for 2025 include the LG C4 and C5 OLED models. The LG C4 is a highly regarded midrange OLED TV from 2024, nearly matching high-end models in performance. The newer 2025 version, the LG C5, offers increased brightness but at a higher price point.

Samsung's 2025 OLED offering, the S90D, is equipped with quantum dot technology, delivering slightly better color performance than LG's OLEDs at similar prices, making it a top contender.

The esteemed panel of professional Hollywood video colorists, film finishers, TV reviewers, and video experts assembled to judge, evaluate, and vote on all picture quality attributes will determine the "King of TV" for 2025.

The TV Shootout is open to the public, and the results can help consumers select the best TV for their liking and use-case. Only flagship TVs from premium manufacturers available in the U.S. are selected to compete in the annual TV Shootout event.

For those unable to attend, several YouTube TV specialty channels will have edited content of the TV Shootout available worldwide after the event. The objective of the TV Shootout event is to award the best TVs in various picture quality attributes.

As the TV Shootout returns to its original location in Scarsdale, NY, it promises to be a must-see event for those interested in the best video displays. The opening remarks and manufacturers' presentations will be webcast live.
