Electric SUV from Xiaomi, the YU7, introduces with stylish design and high-performance capabilities akin to supercars.
Xiaomi has unveiled its sophomore EV, the Xiaomi YU7, a luxury SUV designed for the modern, dynamic elite. The YU7 is set to make its official debut in the Chinese market in July, with a global release scheduled for a few years down the line.
The YU7 boasts a sleek design with a drag coefficient of 0.245 Cd, making it one of the slipperiest SUVs in the market. Measuring 4999 mm in length and featuring a 3000 mm wheelbase, the YU7 exudes a sense of grandeur. Its body is built on Xiaomi's Modena platform and sports a reinforced 'armor-cage' structure, 90.2% of which is made from high-strength steel and aluminum.
Under the hood, the YU7 is equipped with Xiaomi's full intelligent driving suite, including LiDAR, 4D mmWave radar, 11 HD cameras, and a 700 TOPS Nvidia Thor chip. This advanced technology ensures a safe and seamless driving experience.
The YU7 offers a range of premium features to enhance your journey. It comes with a five-mode adjustable air suspension, providing a comfortable ride, and a tight 5.7 m turning radius, making it maneuverable in tight city spaces. The YU7 also boasts a spacious cabin, lined with Oeko-Tex-certified soft-touch materials, and a 141L frunk under the aluminum clamshell bonnet.
The Standard variant of the YU7 offers a CLTC range of 835km, making it the longest-range pure EV-SUV under 100kWh. For those seeking even more power, the Max variant delivers 508kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds and boasting a top speed of 253 km/h.
Rear passengers of the YU7 have entertainment options, and the vehicle features a triple-screen HyperVision panoramic display. The lower windshield of the YU7 beams key data onto the triple-screen display, providing drivers with essential information at a glance.
The YU7's charging system is also impressive. Xiaomi's HyperEngine V6s Plus uses segmented magnetic steel and an 800V silicon-carbide architecture for efficient fast-charging. The YU7 also offers optional 275mm rear tyres for improved performance.
A 1:18 scale model of the YU7 is available for purchase as a pre-launch item, allowing enthusiasts to own a piece of the future. With its combination of style, technology, and performance, the Xiaomi YU7 is set to redefine luxury electric vehicles.
