Dweezil Zappa Rocks Cardboard Sessions in Dolby Atmos

In a musical first, Dweezil Zappa's performance at the Cardboard Sessions was mixed in Dolby Atmos. The event, organized by Ernest Packaging, saw Zappa playing live on custom cardboard instruments at his Hikari Studios.

Zappa, known for his unique electric guitars, brought his distinctive style to the Cardboard Sessions. He used upcycled cardboard Stratocasters, Telecasters, and Precision Bass guitars, created in collaboration with Cardboard Chaos. The session also featured a one-of-one fretless Gibson SG guitar from Zappa's collection.

The highlight of the session was the song 'Man Your Stations', written specifically for the event. It incorporated the unique sounds of the cardboard instruments and choreographed band movements. Zappa's signature guitar, a bespoke Shabat Lynx S-style, was also on display.

Zappa's history with unique guitars includes owning a rare stereo Ripley guitar that impressed Eddie Van Halen. He also had a Jackson guitar painted with Madonna in a bid to be hired like Van Halen was by Michael Jackson.

Dweezil Zappa's Cardboard Sessions performance, mixed in Dolby Atmos, showcased his musical prowess and love for unique instruments. His use of custom cardboard guitars and a one-of-one fretless Gibson SG guitar added a distinctive touch to the event. The session's original song, 'Man Your Stations', further highlighted Zappa's creativity and adaptability.
