Docker Launches Secure Image Catalog for AI, ML, and More
Docker is set to unveil a new subscription service, the Docker Hardened Images catalog. This service aims to provide organizations with a comprehensive range of secure container images, covering modern development needs such as machine learning, AI, databases, and infrastructure services.
The catalog offers hardened images that can be customized with system packages, certifications, and tools without compromising the secure foundation. Organizations can now strive for near-zero Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) without compromising on functionality.
Docker's hardening approach involves building images from source code, continuously patching, and removing unnecessary components. This results in a significantly smaller attack surface and images up to 95% smaller than alternatives. Each image includes VEX (Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange) support to focus on critical vulnerabilities.
Migration to Docker Hardened Images is simplified, requiring only a single line change in a Dockerfile. The publisher of the Docker Hardened Images Subscription Service is Twistlock.
Docker's new subscription service provides a secure, customizable, and cost-effective solution for organizations seeking to achieve near-zero CVEs. The service is committed to democratizing container security, making it secure by default without a premium price tag.
