Bauma 2025, the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, building materials, and mining machines, is set to return to Munich from April 7 to 13, 2025. This year's event promises to be a significant showcase of digitalization, sustainability, and next-generation machinery, aiming to redefine workflows, environmental impact, and safety standards in the construction and heavy transport industries.

Over 3,200 exhibitors from around the globe will gather at the event, with notable participants such as Fortescue, Sandvik, Metso Oyj, HG - 100% electric dumpers, EXiron AG, and around 150 new exhibitors. Among the returning exhibitors are Volvo, Deutz, CNH, Liugong, Skyjack, and JLG.

Bauma 2025 will focus on several key topics and innovations, with climate neutrality and sustainability taking centre stage. The event will emphasize decarbonization and environmentally friendly solutions, including electric and hybrid machinery to reduce environmental impact. Alternative drive technologies, such as electric and hybrid drives for construction equipment, will also feature prominently, reflecting the industry's shift away from traditional fossil fuels.

Digitization and networked construction will be a major theme at Bauma 2025, with digital tools and integrated technologies for smarter construction sites on display. New developments in improving safety for workers, such as ergonomic controls, vibration-damping technologies, and driver assistance systems, will also be showcased.

Innovative construction methods that enhance productivity and reduce environmental footprints will be presented, including advancements in machinery and construction techniques. Tadano, for instance, will unveil its AI-driven tool "Hey Tadano" and the 3D Job Planner, aimed at transforming customer interaction and enabling more effective planning and simulation of crane jobs, respectively.

The event will also feature a Science Hub, where 11 research institutions will present projects, such as autonomous bulk material transport from TU Munich, cable robots from the University of Duisburg-Essen, and mobile excavators with person recognition from TU Dresden.

Bauma 2025 will not only focus on machinery but also on the mining sector, with main topics such as the Mining Challenge. There is particular interest from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru in this sector.

The Bauma FORUM will feature short lectures, panel discussions, and keynotes on the main topics. Hall B4 will be a new central area for occupational safety. Digital technologies like the 3D machine control from Develon and telematics systems from Bobcat will support less experienced machine operators and prevent theft, respectively. The MiC 4.0 BUS protocol will serve as a standardized communication system for machines and attachments at Bauma 2025.

Robust sensors will connect the physical and digital world and optimize machine use. Gruber Logistics will focus on hydrogen, electricity, and smart processes at Transport Logistic 2025, while natural gas (CNG, LNG) will be a focus at transport logistic 2025.

Preparations for Bauma 2025 have begun, with exhibitors like Liebherr, Peri, and Wirtgen setting up in October 2024. The international website for Bauma operates under bauma.de, and tickets can be purchased there.

Bauma 2025 thus represents a comprehensive platform where digitalization, sustainability, and next-generation machinery converge, aiming to redefine workflows, environmental impact, and safety standards in the construction and heavy transport industries.

The Global industry leaders in construction machinery, such as Fortescue, Sandvik, Metso Oyj, and Volvo, will showcase their innovative finance solutions and sustainable technology applications at Bauma 2025.
