CD Projekt RED's anticipated sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, titled Cyberpunk 2, will not be released for several more years, according to TechSpot's recent report. The development studio confirmed the game's progression from concept stage to pre-production in May 2025, signifying the commencement or preparation for active development.
During the press conference announcing the studio's first-quarter 2025 earnings, head of CD Projekt RED, Michal Nowakowski, declined to provide a specific release date for the revered title. He emphasized the uniqueness of each studio project and typically noted that transitions from pre-production to final release span an average of four to five years. This implied a likely release window around late 2030 or early 2031.
