Comcast Expands Access to 261,000 Complimentary Xfinity WiFi Hotspots Throughout Florida
In a move to enhance digital connectivity, Xfinity has announced the expansion of its WiFi hotspots network, making it accessible to both existing Xfinity Internet customers and new users.
For Xfinity Internet subscribers, signing in to these hotspots is straightforward. They can utilize their account credentials to gain access. Additionally, an Xfinity WiFi Hotspots app is available for download, offering a convenient way for subscribers to locate and connect to these hotspots.
Non-Xfinity Internet subscribers are not left out. They can connect by seeking out the "Get Connected" section. Once connected, they will be able to take advantage of the WiFi hotspots, with the opportunity to renew their complimentary sessions every two hours while the hotspots are open. However, it's important to note that non-customers must agree to the Terms and Conditions before being connected.
Jeff Buzzelli, Senior Vice President for Comcast’s Florida region, has been instrumental in this expansion. He has been serving in this role since at least 2025 and has been actively involved in expanding ultra-fast internet in rural Florida. Projects for this expansion are ongoing and are set to continue through the end of 2026.
When connected to a hotspot, Xfinity Internet customers will automatically connect to future nearby Xfinity WiFi hotspots. Users within range of a hotspot can select the "xfinitywifi" network to connect.
This expansion is part of Xfinity's commitment to providing seamless, high-speed internet access to as many people as possible, regardless of their Xfinity Internet subscription status.
