Citroën Unveils Affordable e-C3 Electric Car for Europe
Citroën has unveiled the e-C3, an affordable electric small car developed and produced in Europe. The vehicle is positioned to compete in the budget-friendly eCar segment, with prices starting at 23,300 euros.
The e-C3 is built on the CMP Smart Car platform and powered by a 44 kWh LFP battery from SVOLT. It offers a WLTP range of 300 kilometers, with the option for a 200-kilometer range version to be introduced in 2025 at 19,990 euros.
The vehicle can be charged at up to 100 kW, providing a 26-minute charge from 20 to 80 percent. Both models come with a 7.4 kW onboard charger, and an optional three-phase 11 kW charger is available for an extra 400 euros.
Citroën emphasizes the e-C3's European roots, with the vehicle being developed and manufactured in Europe. The base 'YOU' model includes features like LED headlights and a head-up display but lacks an infotainment display. The 'MAX' equipment, priced at 27,800 euros, includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen and various charging options for devices.
The e-C3, with its affordable pricing, impressive range, and quick charging capabilities, is set to be a strong contender in the budget-friendly electric car market. Citroën's commitment to European production and focus on affordability position the e-C3 as an attractive option for eco-conscious consumers.
