SONAR, a leading data analysis platform, has made significant strides in improving the user-friendliness and functionality of its Map Widget. Last week, the company announced these enhancements, aiming to make data analysis smoother and insights more actionable.
The Map Widget, now accessible from the main menu in the UI, has been redesigned for improved functionality. SONAR has made the map more intuitive, with a cleaner layout and simplified controls. The map's visuals have been polished with a refreshed, streamlined design.
One of the key improvements is the ability to customize map layers. Users can now include user locations, a weather radar, and other preferences to suit their needs. Clicking on any market on the map opens a dynamic side panel with Key Market Insights data, providing a more responsive and information-rich experience.
The default map view is the HAUL Index, but users can now change the data to any of SONAR's other indices, market volatility, spot market conditions, tender volumes by market, or rejections. Clear descriptions have been added for adding new datasets and adjusting preferences for weather, custom layers, legends, and more, making it easier for users to navigate the Map Widget.
The Map Widget enhancements are the latest in a series of improvements from SONAR, designed to improve the user experience. Improved hover popups provide a more responsive and information-rich experience. The Map Widget has been made more powerful, offering users a more efficient way to analyze and interpret data.
SONAR was revised by Wayfinder towards the end of 2023 to improve the usability and intuitiveness of the map widget. These enhancements are part of SONAR's ongoing commitment to providing its users with the best possible experience when analyzing and interpreting data.
