BYD Denza Manufactures First Batch of N9 SUVs on Assembly Line

The Denza N9, a new flagship hybrid SUV packed with advanced intelligence and safety technologies, officially launched in China in mid-2025. This marks the beginning of a global rollout, with markets such as Australia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) expected to follow suit before the end of the year.

Powered by BYD's innovative e3 technology, the Denza N9 boasts a sophisticated three-electric-motor system. The front motor delivers 268 horsepower and 315 Newton-metres of torque, while each of the dual rear motors produces 322 horsepower and 360 Newton-metres. A 2.0T engine with 204 horsepower and 325 Newton-metres of torque completes the hybrid powertrain. This impressive setup delivers a combined output of 590 horsepower.

The Denza N9's battery is a 46.9 kilowatt-hour Blade lithium-ion pack, providing an electric range of 202 kilometres according to the CLTC standard. With the hybrid system, the SUV offers a total range of 1,302 kilometres. The Denza N9 accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 3.9 seconds, and fast charging from 30% to 80% takes only 19 minutes.

BYD, the manufacturer behind the Denza brand, has ambitious expansion plans for 2025. The Denza N9 is the latest model in a lineup that includes the N7 SUV, Z9 sedan, Z9GT hatchback, and D9 MPV. Local media outlet AutoPix reports that Denza aims to sell more than 300,000 units this year.

The Denza N9, with its tri-motor independent drive and dual-motor independent steering at the rear wheels, redefines the standard of mobility for large flagship SUVs. The six-seat vehicle, measuring 5,258 millimetres in length, 2,030 millimetres in width, and 1,830 millimetres in height, with a wheelbase of 3,125 millimetres, is the latest addition to Denza's growing fleet.
