Businesses in the space industry hail advancements in space commercialization
In a recent statement, Claudia Gläser, President of the Industry and Commerce Chamber Nordschwarzwald (IHK), has emphasised the necessity of expanding new industrial areas in Pforzheim. The economic development in Pforzheim and the surrounding area is urgently in need of additional development areas, as the share of industrial areas in Pforzheim compared to other centres in Baden-Württemberg has historically been too low.
The IHK Nordschwarzwald has already advocated for the designation of new suitable areas in the past, and the initiative to develop new industrial sites in Pforzheim is explicitly welcomed by the chamber. Pforzheim, known for its attractiveness to businesses, has a great need for additional space, with companies that leave the region or settle in other regions due to a lack of alternatives being lost in the foreseeable future.
Two potential new industrial areas in Pforzheim are Klapfenhardt (near Wilferdinger Height) and Viertes Kleeblatt (south of Hohberg). The search results do not provide the specific names of the new industrial areas that the IHK Nordschwarzwald has demanded for future development in Pforzheim.
Part of the existing structural problems of Pforzheim are due to the low share of industrial areas. The IHK Nordschwarzwald considers Pforzheim an attractive economic location, and the successful industrial area Buchbusch was almost completely occupied quickly. It is now high time to take the next steps in developing new industrial sites in Pforzheim to ensure the continued growth and success of businesses in the region. Claudia Gläser emphasises the need to use the momentum of the sustained good economic development of companies in Pforzheim to align the economic location for the future.
