BEML Partners with NASSCOM for AI & IoT Innovation
BEML Limited, a defense and aerospace company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NASSCOM Centre of Excellence (CoE) for AI & IoT. The collaboration aims to enhance BEML's products and processes using artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The partnership will focus on several industries, including heavy machinery and construction equipment manufacturing, defense equipment, and sectors that can benefit from AI and IoT. It will also establish an innovation incubation center for start-ups, fostering technology-driven advancements in these areas.
Dr. Deepak Kumar Hota, CMD of BEML, and Sanjeev Malhotra, CEO of NASSCOM CoE, exchanged signed copies of the MoU in the presence of Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon'ble Raksha Mantri, and other senior officials. The MoU aims to engage various stakeholders, such as MSMEs, start-ups, individual innovators, R&D institutes, and academia.
AI and IoT are expected to bring significant changes to BEML's manufacturing processes. The partnership also aims to provide technical support for AI and IoT implementation in BEML products.
The MoU is set to help BEML achieve its vision of staying updated with cutting-edge technology and remaining a market leader in its sectors. The collaboration with NASSCOM CoE is expected to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiencies across BEML's product range.
