Bavarian Police Rescue 3 Syrian Migrants After Harsh Smuggling Journey
Federal Police in Bavaria apprehended three Syrian migrants near Kiefersfelden. The group, aged 15, 19, and 20, were discovered waiting for a pick-up after being abandoned in the border area. They had paid smugglers 12,000 euros each for passage from Turkey to Germany, enduring harsh conditions during their journeys.
The migrants were found without any papers. They had been transported in a truck's loading area for two days without food or drink, facing inhumane conditions. The group was taken to Rosenheim station, where they received care before being handed over to Austrian police for deportation. The head of the Bundespolizeiinspektion Rosenheim, Stefan Kurth, oversaw the operation.
The migrants' journeys highlight the dangerous and exploitative nature of human smuggling. They were abandoned after paying a high fee, facing severe hardships during their transit. The incident underscores the need for stricter border controls and increased support for legitimate migration pathways.
