Award-winning motion tracking of Mocha Pro enhanced with 3D camera solution from SynthEyes.
Mocha Pro 2024, the popular plugin in the film and video industry, has recently been released, offering significant new features and improvements. The latest version of Mocha Pro focuses on enhancing tracking capabilities and workflow efficiency, particularly with the integration of SynthEyes' 3D tracking technology.
The integration of SynthEyes' 3D tracking technology allows users to obtain superior camera solves and depth data, facilitating more precise match moves and 3D compositing workflows. This advancement is expected to provide users with a more powerful tool for planar and 3D tracking, compositing, and VFX workflows.
Mocha Pro 2024 also includes improved tracking workflows. Enhancements include multi-link layers, RGB channel tracking, and improved quick stabilization for rotoscoping, making planar tracking more powerful and efficient.
Additionally, the PowerMesh tracking and Insert module have been enhanced. The new PowerMesh tracking allows warped surface compositing with motion blur, improving the realism of insert effects. The Insert module workflow has been streamlined for editing hosts like Premiere and VEGAS.
New export options to Nuke, Silhouette, Alembic, and Mistika formats have been added, supporting broader compositing and 3D tool integration. Furthermore, 12 new blend modes, improved render quality, motion blur support, and a new Grid Warp interface have been introduced to bend and distort source elements flexibly.
Mocha Pro 2024 is compatible with various host applications, including Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Foundry Nuke, Blackmagic Fusion, Autodesk Flame, VEGAS Pro, and HitFilm Pro. Mocha Pro customers on active subscriptions or upgrade & support plans receive the 2024 product release as a complimentary update.

Looking ahead, Mocha Pro 2025.5 will introduce AI Face Detection for automatic detection and tracking of multiple faces, speeding up rotoscoping work. Matte Assist ML improvements will also be made, enhancing quality-of-life for matte refinement and facilitating faster rendering workflows.
