Patagonia's Nano Puff Jacket Gets an Upgrade for Fall 2025
The iconic Nano Puff jacket from Patagonia is getting a refresh for the colder months ahead. Known for its versatility and durability, the Nano Puff has been a favourite among hikers, climbers, skiers, and outdoor enthusiasts since its introduction in 2009.
This year, the jacket sees some incremental but meaningful improvements. The fit has been refined with lengthened shoulders, providing better range of motion and layering comfort. The thread tension in the quilting has been tweaked to improve abrasion resistance, making the jacket more suitable for use with backpack straps and harnesses. The cuffs are now made of ripstop nylon for added durability, and the collar has been made taller for increased warmth and coziness.
The insulation of the jacket remains the same, with the 60g PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco. However, a standardized quilt pattern has been introduced to keep the insulation evenly distributed, ensuring its effectiveness even when compressed or wet. This change may contribute to the jacket being warmer than previous models.
The Nano Puff jacket retains its signature lightweight, packable quality, compressing into its own pocket for easy stowing. The jacket is priced at $229, slightly cheaper than it was four years ago. It is available in a variety of classy colorways and can be purchased as a jacket, hoody, or vest in men's and women's sizing.
The new PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco was developed to reduce Patagonia's environmental impact without compromising the jacket's performance. It contains 55% recycled content, a testament to Patagonia's commitment to sustainability.
Despite the new features, the Nano Puff jacket remains versatile enough to be worn casually, such as to the grocery store or on a front porch. It continues to be a do-it-all jacket, perfect for various outdoor activities all year round.
