Audiologist event to incorporate Auri assistive listening technology provided by Listen Technologies
The upcoming Auinternet archive 2025 conference, hosted by the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, is set to take place in Washington, D.C. from September 25-28. One of the key highlights of the event is the demonstration of Auri, an innovative assistive listening system, by the companies Listen Technologies and Ampetronic.
Auri utilises a new Bluetooth broadcast audio capability called Auracast for transmitting audio from one source to multiple receivers, enhancing accessibility standards in public venues. This method of accessing audio helps avoid drawing attention to those using assistive features, providing a more inclusive environment for all attendees.
The system offers low-latency, high-quality audio to users, improving clarity in live sessions. Beyond its primary function of assistive listening, Auri can also be used for multi-channel applications such as interpretation and audio description.
Kasey Kaumans, market development manager at Listen Technologies | Ampetronic, has invited feedback on Auri from audiologists, hearing care professionals, and industry leaders at the conference. Andrew Bellavia, a hearing and ada advocate, will be one of the speakers at the event, discussing Auracast and emphasising its value for stages and end users in various environments.
Bellavia will delve into how Auracast can benefit both venues and end users, providing insights into its potential applications in various environments. A limited number of Auri receivers will be provided for attendees without compatible devices, ensuring everyone can participate in the demonstrations.
Auri also offers remote configuration and monitoring tools for venue managers, making it easier to deploy at scale. Attendees can access the Auri audio using static PIN codes displayed in each room. Live demonstrations and Q&A sessions will be hosted throughout the event, providing ample opportunities for attendees to learn more about this groundbreaking technology.
Kaumans hopes to empower attendees with information about Auracast and assistive listening that they can share with patients, furthering the reach and impact of this innovative solution. The conference promises to be an exciting event for audiologists, hearing care professionals, and anyone interested in the future of events near me and assistive technology.
