Airline Loyalty Program Miles & More undergoes a shift, partnering with Deutsche Bank
In an exciting development for frequent flyers in Germany, Deutsche Bank is set to launch the Lufthansa 'Miles & More' credit card from October 1, 2025. This marks the beginning of the transition from the previous card issued by DKB, a changeover that is expected to be completed by spring 2026.
The switch encompasses the entire Miles & More credit card portfolio in Germany. Dieter Vranckx, Chief Commercial Officer of the Lufthansa Group, has emphasised the significant added value this new card offers to customers.
For customers making the switch, there's good news. No card fee will be charged during the first month after the transition. Additionally, bonus miles and points will be offered to customers, the details of which will depend on the specific card product and the customer's frequent flyer status.
Frequent flyer credit card holders without status and new customers will be contacted successively as the transition progresses. It's important to note that all cardholders will need to reapply for the credit card during the bank switch.
Mastercard remains the partner for the Lufthansa 'Miles & More' credit card, ensuring continuity and familiarity for existing cardholders.
As the transition nears, frequent flyers in Germany can look forward to enhanced benefits and rewards with the new Lufthansa 'Miles & More' credit card. Stay tuned for more updates as the transition unfolds.
