Agents from the US are scrutinizing the Steam account of the individual suspected in the murder of Charlie Kirk, leaving people curious as to how 2,000 hours spent in the game Sea of Thieves might offer insight into the case.
In a significant development, the FBI is investigating the alleged assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, with the focus on the individual named Tyler Robinson. The Secret Service has been enlisted to aid in the investigation, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

Interestingly, a quote from Robinson's user review of Sea of Thieves has garnered attention: "If you play alone, you will die alone." This statement, however, does not provide concrete evidence of radicalisation.
The investigation into Robinson is far from over, with multiple federal agencies, including the FBI and the Secret Service, involved.
In a related development, Gabe Newell, the CEO of Valve Corporation, the company behind Steam, has been invited to testify before Congress. The invitation comes amidst growing concerns about online extremism and its impact on society. Newell will be testifying alongside the CEOs of Discord, Twitch, and Reddit, as part of a hearing scheduled for October 8, 2025.
