A partnership between Aeris and Bridge Alliance initiates the rollout of a unified Internet of Things (IoT) security solution across the Asia-Pacific region.
Aeris Communications and Bridge Alliance have announced the launch of Aeris IoT Watchtower, a revolutionary cybersecurity solution designed for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This solution is set to provide enterprises across Asia-Pacific and beyond with real-time, scalable, and seamless protection for their IoT ecosystems.
Seamless Integration with Existing Cellular Infrastructure
One of the key features of Aeris IoT Watchtower is its seamless integration with existing cellular infrastructure. The platform operates without the need for special SIM cards, traffic rerouting, new hardware, or agents. This means enterprises can deploy it without disrupting current IoT deployments or requiring costly system overhauls.
Real-Time Threat Detection and Response
Aeris IoT Watchtower provides immediate, real-time visibility into device behavior and network traffic at granular levels (IP, port, protocol), allowing early identification of anomalies and threats. The platform combines "Awareness" (continuous monitoring and detection) with "Enforcement" (isolation and neutralization of threats), effectively preventing security breaches before they escalate.
Comprehensive Enterprise IoT Visibility and Control
Beyond traditional high-level IoT traffic metrics, Watchtower delivers deep insight into each connection, enabling smarter resource allocation, faster incident resolution, and simplified compliance reporting.
Scalability and Future-Readiness
Designed to support the rapid growth of IoT devices—particularly in the Asia-Pacific region where deployment is expected to nearly double by 2030—Watchtower scales efficiently with expanding enterprise needs, adapting to evolving cybersecurity challenges.
Enhanced Security and Regulatory Compliance
The solution boosts security for large-scale IoT deployments and helps enterprises meet regulatory requirements through regular risk assessments and detailed device activity reports.
Zero Friction Deployment
The platform emphasizes ease of use, requiring no agents or complex rerouting, making it accessible for enterprises to implement quickly and with minimal operational friction.
Ong Geok Chwee, the CEO of Bridge Alliance, is looking forward to extending Watchtower into more APAC markets in the coming months. Aeris IoT Watchtower is currently available in the United States and Europe and is being rolled out across Asia-Pacific in partnership with Bridge Alliance.
The Asia-Pacific region has also seen impressive growth with the current 170 million connected cellular IoT devices set to almost double by 2030. Aeris provides cellular IoT connectivity management services to participating Bridge Alliance Member Operators (BMOs) via the Aeris IoT Accelerator (IoTA) platform.
The launch of Aeris IoT Watchtower in Asia-Pacific is expected to boost security and regulatory compliance for enterprise IoT deployments. Enterprises face unprecedented challenges in securing their growing cellular IoT deployments as IoT devices are increasingly targeted by cyber attackers. Recent research by Forrester shows that IoT devices within company assets are now the top target for corporate cyber-attacks.
Mark Cratsenburg, the chief commercial officer for the IoT Business Unit at Aeris, emphasised the ease of use of Aeris IoT Watchtower. "We've designed Aeris IoT Watchtower to be a frictionless solution for full visibility into the cyber risk of enterprise IoT devices," he said.
Aeris IoT Watchtower is an agentless solution that delivers tools to prevent or limit damage from an attack. The features of Aeris IoT Watchtower are seamlessly built into the existing cellular data path. The platform consists of two critical components - "Awareness" and "Enforcement" - to deliver enterprise IoT visibility and control to detect IoT security breaches.
The commercial launch of Aeris IoT Watchtower in Asia-Pacific is a milestone in enhancing security for the IoTA platform. Aeris is participating as a Diamond Sponsor at the Bridge Alliance CXO Forum 2025 on 17 November.
As the global number of cellular IoT connections continues to grow rapidly and is expected to reach 1.1 billion globally with a 16% CAGR over the next three years, the need for robust and scalable cybersecurity solutions like Aeris IoT Watchtower becomes increasingly important. The agreement between Aeris and Bridge Alliance to offer Aeris IoT Watchtower is an extension of an existing partnership between the two companies.
- The comprehensive enterprise IoT solution, Aeris IoT Watchtower, offers seamless integration with existing cellular infrastructure, which means businesses can deploy it without requiring costly system overhauls, special SIM cards, traffic rerouting, or new hardware.
- By combining Awareness (continuous monitoring and detection) with Enforcement (isolation and neutralization of threats), Aeris IoT Watchtower provides a technology-driven approach to both physical and data-and-cloud-computing security, helping enterprises prevent security breaches in their IoT ecosystems.
