7Analytics Secures $2.5M for Expanding Natural Risk Modeling Beyond Floods
Bergen-based startup 7Analytics has secured $2.5 million in a Seed round, led by Momentum Partners. The funds will aid the company in expanding its natural risk modelling capabilities beyond floods.
The startup, co-founded by Jonas Toland, has already made a mark with its first product, FloodCube, used by customers like Bergen Municipality, Skanska, and Multiconsult. With the new investment, 7Analytics plans to create models for other natural risks such as landslides and biodiversity.
The company has also secured customers and partners in Norway, the US, and Brazil. Notably, it has joined forces with StormGeo for real-time flood prediction. Toland highlights flooding's significant economic impact, making it a priority for the startup's initial focus.
7Analytics, with its $2.5 million funding, aims to broaden its natural risk modelling. After successfully launching FloodCube, the startup now looks to tackle other risks like landslides and biodiversity loss. Its international partnerships and real-time prediction capabilities position it well for future growth.
